What's in the bag
250 grams of single-origin Bugisu Arabica, grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. These beans were pulped within eight hours of picking, fermented overnight, washed clean, and dried slowly on raised beds. Then roasted in Kampala in batches of 15 kilos or less. You get the whole bean, not pre-ground. Grind it fresh, brew it any way you like.
How it tastes
Dark chocolate hits first. Ripe blackcurrant in the middle. Brown sugar on the finish. Full body, bright acidity. Clean through a drip machine. Holds its weight in a French press. Pulls a tight single-origin espresso.
Where it comes from
Nonda buys directly from smallholder farmers on Mount Elgon. Our team is at the washing stations during harvest, cupping lots on site, picking what ships. The farmer gets paid above the government-set farmgate. The beans trace back to a specific washing station and harvest date. What you taste is what the mountain produced that season.
